More nice classwork today. Points are posted. We’ve now finished all the instruction leading into Test One. Please keep up with both your MyMathLab homework and your Textbook Homework. Catch-up mode for either is a huge pain. Tuesday (after the Labor Day holiday) will be more classwork.
Homework Quiz One will be 09 Sep. You need to bring your Textbook Homework to class that day. Complete, correct, and organized are the key components to acing this event.
Test One will be on 14 Sep. That
day is scheduled as a 50 minute class period, but I
will give you 75 minutes to take your test.
Plan accordingly. Calculators are
allowed, but are mostly not required.
Did I mention I have an office hour every class day, and LOVE it when students stop by to talk about math?
Free tutoring services are available on campus for this course at the Math Tutor Clinic in CRC-231. In addition, the Academic Success Center has tutoring available in the Lied Library. I highly recommend these services. Several of my students have reported the help they got from tutors was the difference that allowed them to make it in the class. Tutoring usually kicks off during the second week of school. More info as it is available.
